Permits

All homeowners should obtain a permit for anything done in your back yard. However, it is up to the customer whether to purchase a permit. Most customers do not purchase permits, but Eason can assist you to obtain permits for customers in most cities.. More information can be provided upon request.

Home Owners Associations

If you have a home owners association, find out if they have their own rules for your area. If not, check the local building code for rules about how far it can be placed from the property line. The distances vary from city to city. Most customers place buildings about 4 ft. from property lines so grass or weeds can be easily mowed. Most cities building code require 5 ft. depending on the size of your building. Covenants vary for each subdivision so the homeowner should check prior to purchase of a building. For example: many subdivisions restrict metal roofs and metal buildings. Lifetime can supply wood or vinyl buildings with roofs to match existing houses, which will easily pass any covenant.
